Welcome back to the world of 60s rock 'n' roll post-Ed Sullivan show.
After three roller coaster years of pre-pandemic and post-pandemic preparation, The Silver Beats are ready to make their debut on the CNY Jazz Central stage. Playing ALL the songs from the British and American versions of Rubber Soul, the Beats will bring back a flood of memories and give you a chance to hear the music of The Beatles LIVE.
Our lineup consists of three outstanding and accomplished musicians with decades of experience throughout the CNY region in various configurations and one up and coming bass player who decided to self-learn his instrument as a 70th birthday present.
On guitar and vocals, Peter Allen, a multi-talented, singer-songwriter who has more multi-hyphenates than most Hollywood showrunners. Appearing the week after our Silver Beats debut at Syracuse Jazz Fest in Clinton Square.
On keyboard and vocals, Bob Reid, well known in CNY for his jazz work with the Debbie Gilbert Trio, as well as many other jazz combos over a stellar musical career.
On drums and vocals, Steve Orlando, a solid rock drummer over two decades for the Mike Estep Band, percussionist for the LeMoyne Jazz Ensemble, and much sought after for jazz, rock and show groups throught CNY. Also appearing the week after this gig at Syracuse Jazz Fest in Clinton Square.
On bass and vocals, Ronnie Bell, songwriter for more than sixty years, actor, producer and executive director for Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park for twenty seasons and a retired SCSD special education/theatre teacher.
Opening act for this show only, playing their 60s set of music, is Parlour Games, a very dynamic duo made up of Peter Allen on guitar and vocals and featuring Geri Canny on lead vocals.
