ABOUT ABOUT

When the Pope denies Henry VIII a divorce, the king takes matters into his own hands, commanding his subjects to declare him both temporal and spiritual leader of England. Sir Thomas More refuses in good conscience—paying the ultimate price for his silent refusal.

A tense, taut, psychological and religious drama, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS takes audiences inside one man's mind, revealing how his conscience leads him through an unsolvable dilemma.

Sixty years ago, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS won all four Tonys it was nominated for, including Best Director, Best Producer, Best Actor (Paul Scofield), and Best Play.

This beautifully written play reveals the inner workings of these historical figures of the late 15th and early 16th centuries in England. Thomas Cromwell, Cardinal Wolsey, and More's family — wife Lady Alice More and daughter Lady Margaret More — all struggle to understand Sir Thomas More's refusal to sign The Succession to the Crown Act of 1534 when he chooses conscience over king.

Performed by out stellar cast, this play will leave audiences searching their souls!
